Reach for the stars with relaunched astronomical society
STARGAZERS are invited to get involved with the St Helens Astonomical Society, which is being revived.
The society was originally launched in 1999 at around the time of the total Solar Eclipse.
Now founder Carl Dingsdale is resurrecting the organisation, hoping to inspire residents who would be interested to get involved.
"I am hoping to rekindle the interest to see if we can restart it again.
"There is no discrimination, anyone can join and it is free of charge."
People interested are invited to attend a launch meeting at the Seven Stars pub on Millbrook Lane, Eccleston at 7pm on May 27.
