A PLANNING application has been formally submitted for a proposed new industrial warehouse at the Mere Grange site.

The Star reported last month that Network Space is to deliver a new facility at the location.

Plans have been submitted to St Helens Council for a 53,000 sq ft building (4,964 square-metres).

Plans also include ancillary offices, access, parking, infrastructure works including an electricity sub-station and landscaping at the Mere Grange site, which is off the St Helens Linkway close to junction 7 of the M62.

The Star had reported that construction is expected to start on site in summer, immediately following completion of Network Space’s four new industrial/warehouse units totalling 90,000 sq ft, which are already under construction.

Stephen Barnes, managing director for Network Space said about the planned facility: “Securing this opportunity is a significant win for Network Space, Mere Grange and the borough.

“All the key elements of the scheme have really come together over the last two years through that partnership and the delivery of this latest building will only serve to further establish the site as a location of choice for businesses”.
