BURGLARS forced their way into a property and snatched jewellery and money before making off.
The break-in took place at an address on Beresford Street, Thatto Heath during the night after 9.30pm on Sunday (April 15).
An unknown number of offenders forced entry into the home and took a quantity of cash and jewellery items.
They also inflicted some damage to the property during the break-in.
Police are exploring any CCTV opportunities after launching an investigation into the break-in upon receiving a report at 6.15am on Monday 16.
A police statement said: "Anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious that could help is asked to contact Merseyside Police social media desk via Twitter @MerPolCC or on the Merseyside Police CC Facebook page."
