POLICE have issued CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to after a van containing parcels was stolen in Whiston.

Officers say the vehicle was stolen from Hulton Avenue, Whiston. It was later found on Shaw Lane, Prescot with the parcels missing.

Officers want to speak to the man pictured as they believe he may hold vital information to assist with their investigation.

Constable Andrew Norton said: "Although we have recovered the vehicle, the items inside remain missing and I would like to appeal to the man pictured or anyone who knows him to let us know.

“Likewise, if anyone has been offered any items in the last few days in the area and you are suspicious, come forward.”

The theft took place at around 2.35pm on Friday, March 23. Police waited nearly a month before issuing the appeal.
