PERMISSION has been granted for a caravan site to be extended by 15 pitches.
The site at Bridge Farm on News Lane, Rainford will be expanded from five caravans to 20, as the council gave the green light to plans submitted in February
The location, on a 95-acre farm holding, is used as a caravan site and for horse grazing.
A planning officer noted that the original plans were "slightly amended" with the layout of the additional 15 pitches "constricted". This, the report said, will reduce "the potential impact on the character and openness of the green belt".
