THIS year 27 staff and students from St Cuthbert’s Catholic High School will be celebrating its 60th anniversary in style by taking part in the St Helens 10k this Sunday.

The StCuthberts4Precky team, which includes both current and past students and staff, as well as head teacher Catherine Twist, are taking on the event to raise funds for the school’s Student Wellbeing Fund and The Steve Prescott Foundation.

Catherine Twist said: “The support and donations we have received so far from colleagues, parents, friends and family have been fantastic.

“As we celebrate the 60th anniversary of St Cuthbert’s this year, by entering a team for the St Helens 10K we thought it would be an ideal opportunity to raise the school’s profile and share our message with the rest of the town.

“We are passionate about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and by involving ourselves in this event we continue to embrace this ethos as a whole community and leading by example”.

Linzi Prescott, of the SPF, said: “We are very proud that Team St Cuthbert’s are supporting The Steve Prescott Foundation and the GWP Recruitment St Helens 10K run as part of their 60 year celebrations.

“It will be great to see them running the course in their team T-shirts, continuing Stephen’s legacy. Thank you to all the team for their efforts and I wish you all the best of luck on the day”.
