A MAN has pleaded not guilty to breaking into a property on Christmas Day armed with a golf club and attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm.
Tomas Janionis, 28, of Oak Avenue, Newton-le-Willows faces charges of aggravated burglary of a dwelling and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Janionis is accused of entering a property on Wellington Gardens, Newton-le-Willows on December 25, 2017 and attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm while armed with a golf club.
Janionis pleaded not guilty at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday, March 7.
He will face a trial earmarked for the week of Monday, August 6.
Janionis has been granted bail ahead of his next court appearance.
