A 18-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court charged with wounding a teenage girl at St Helens bus station.

Jamie Grime, of Woodville Street, St Helens, appeared at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on Monday (March 5) charged with a section 18 wounding with intent.

Grime is accused of maliciously wounding a 16-year-old girl at the bus station on Corporation Street on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 20 with intent to do her grievous bodily harm.

The case has been sent to Liverpool Crown Court where Grime will next appear on Tuesday, April 3.

He has been given conditional bail.
