POLICE and ambulance crews were called to the entrance of St Helens Hospital this morning following reports that a man in his 70s had collapsed in the street.
The North West Ambulance Service received the call shortly before 10am today, Tuesday, March 6.
The man was treated at the scene on Marshalls Cross Road and taken to Whiston Hospital for further checks.
