YOBS have vandalised a church over the weekend making it difficult for people to get inside due to the damage caused.
Four 3ft steps at the back entry of The Holy Trinity Church in Fingerpost have been ripped out of place meaning members cannot access the door to unlock it.
The incident happened between 10.45am on Saturday when church warden Dorothy Dodd locked the building and 9.45am on Sunday when she returned.
She said: "I do not understand the mentality of someone who would do something like this- it is quite sad really.
"We had a food bank coming today and luckily someone was able to climb into the church and let the group through another way, but obviously that is dangerous and we need the problem to be solved as soon as possible."
If you have any information about the incident, contact the police on 101 quoting reference number 18200039512 of February 18.
