A WOMAN who was charged in the investigation into the death of Robert Sempey in Haydock has been granted bail at Liverpool Crown Court.
Kirsty Jervis, 30, of Beilby Road, Haydock was charged with assisting an offender after the body of 37-year-old Mr Sempey was discovered in a back garden on Beilby Road on Sunday, January 21.
A Home Office post mortem examination established that Mr Sempey had died as a result of stab wounds.
Jervis first appeared at Liverpool Court Court on Wednesday, January 24 alongside Ian Robertson, 33, of Beilby Road, Haydock, who has been charged with murder.
Both had been remanded in custody after the initial hearing.
A bail application for Jervis was heard at Liverpool Crown Court today (February 12), which was granted.
A plea and trial preparation hearing has been scheduled at Liverpool Crown Court for April 19.
Meanwhile, a possible trial has been earmarked for July 16.
