ROADWORKS at a busy junction leading in and out of the town centre are expected to remain in place for another fortnight.
Motorists have endured delays due to the works at Standish Street and College Street, St Helens for several weeks.
A St Helens Council spokesman said poor weather had led to some delays and that roadworks will continue over the next fortnight.
He added: "The temporary lights currently in place will remain till February 17, while work on the footpaths/pedestrian facilities continues.
"Fixed lights will come back into operation then, for a week, until 6pm, February 24 when Standish Street will be fully closed for the resurfacing works. Temporary lights will be in place on College Street during this time.
"Full closure in place until 6pm on February 25."
