A FIRE broke out in a kitchen in Parr after a pan went up in flames.
Two fire engines were called to a property on Fleet Lane, Parr at around 4.40pm on Thursday (February 8) to tackle the blaze.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames and then ventilated the area and carried out a Home Fire Safety Check.
A pan was damaged by fire and a hob, extractor and a number of cupboards sustained heat damage. The kitchen of the property was damaged by smoke.
Firefighters fitted three new smoke alarms and remained at the incident for around 30 minutes.
No injuries from the incident have been reported by Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service.
