A DRINK driver who failed to stop after a road accident has been disqualified from holding a licence for 18 months.
Lee Robert Goldthorpe, 31, of Porter Avenue, Newton-le-Willows, was convicted at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on Thursday (February 8) of driving a motor vehicle when above the alcohol limit, driving without due care and attention and failing to stop after an accident.
On August 27, 2017 Goldthorpe drove a black Audi on Crow Lane East, Newton-le-Willows and caused an accident where personal injury was caused to three people.
Goldthorpe was also given a community order and ordered to undertake 50 hours of unpaid work and is required to attend a drink driving programme for 22 days.
He must also pay a victim surcharge.
A further charge against Goldthorpe of failing to report the accident was withdrawn.
