TOMORROW, Thursday, will see the launch of a public art installation on the banks of the Sankey Canal to celebrate St Helens' industrial heritage.
Where Things Are Different is a project dreamt up by artist Stephen King, who worked closely with people who worked in mining or other industries across St Helens, who share the experience of being displaced workforces.
He aims to highlight the history of these shared experiences and focus on telling stories that could be forgotten about about this town's industrial past by sharing social experience, memories, stories and folklore held by the St Helens community.
The launch event on Thursday, January 25, will take place from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at the World of Glass Museum and will also include a unique one off performance by Theremin player Lydia Kavina and performances by Eggs Collective.
This is part of St Helens' 150th Anniversary celebrations.
