A 23-YEAR-OLD man who was caught with a pocket knife in his possession at the Tesco Extra store has been fined.
Steven Woods, of Peterlee Close, Thatto Heath was convicted at Liverpool Magistrates' Court of possessing a knife in public on Tuesday, January 16.
Woods had a folding pocket knife, which had a blade with a cutting edge longer than three inches, on his possession at the in-store cafe at Tesco Extra off the St Helens Linkway on Sunday, October 8, 2017.
Woods was given a £300 fine and was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
The court also ordered for the knife to be destroyed.
