A CHARGE made against a 15-year-old boy accused of possessing a knife in public has been withdrawn.
The youth was charged with possession of a korambit knife in a public place after police officers seized the blade on Roby Well Way, Billinge on the evening of Monday, October 30 last year.
The boy had been granted unconditional bail by Liverpool Youth Court following an initial court appearance in which the case was adjourned.
He was due to appear at Liverpool Youth Court on Tuesday (January 16).
The charge has now been withdrawn, a Liverpool Youth Court spokesman confirmed.
