A PRESCOT woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender by detectives investigating into the murder of James Meadows in Huyton has been released under investigation.
The 46-year-old woman was arrested yesterday, Wednesday, January 10, on suspicion of assisting an offender and possession with intent to supply drugs after suspected cocaine was found at an address in Prescot.
She is one of four people arrested in connection with the murder of 17-year-old James Meadows from Huyton who was killed by a gunshot wound to his head in October.
Police executed five warrants at addresses in Prescot, St Helens and Huyton and made the four arrests and seized drugs.
The 46-year-old Prescot woman has now been released under investigation pending further enquiries, alongside a 28-year-old man from Roby, a 28-year-old woman from Huyton and 19-year-old man from Huyton who were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
