THE former office building of the St Helens Star on Hardshaw Street is up for auction.
Planning permission has beeen granted for the ground floor of the premises to be converted into a bar.
Signage has been put up on the three-storey corner property, stating that it will go up for auction next Thursday, December 14 with estate agents Sutton Kersh.
The building, which has full planning permission to convert the ground floor offices into a bar and restaurant, as well as altering the first and second floors to become five self-contained flats, has a starting price of £150,000.
The building, which is also a former premises of Lloyds bank, has been empty since October 2015.
The Star is now based in Century House on Hardshaw Street.
