A SEA of red and white balloons soared into the skies of Prescot this afternoon as a community remembered murder victim Adam Ellison.

Adam, 29, was stabbed in the neck in Prescot town centre in the early hours of Saturday, November 4.

Police are still hunting his killer, who is believed to have been a passenger on a large scrambler-style motorbike.

Adam was killed after becoming involved in an argument with a group on the motorbike.

The death of the Tesco worker, a former St Helens College student, has caused devastation in the community and this afternoon his loved ones and friends united for a balloon release at Cables Retail park, Prescot.

A Facebook page, Justice for Adam, which was set up in Prescot this week, said in a post: "Find it very difficult this evening to put into words the feeling of devastation at the loss of Adam; seeing the people that you love and care about broken yet so dignified in their grief is the most difficult thing I have ever witnessed.

"This afternoon, thanks to the managers and staff at Tesco, Adam's family, friends and colleagues, along with this little local community were able to come together to remember him.

"The sky over #Prescot was a sea of red and white messages this because Adam, we will never let you walk alone. We love you. x"
