A STAR-STUDDED cast promises to bring fun and laughter at this year’s Christmas panto.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs comes to St Helens Theatre Royal from December 2 to January 7, 2018.

Coronation Street and Wild at Heart’s Lucy-Jo Hudson plays the lead role of Snow White.

Thatto Heath comedian Johnny Vegas will keep everyone entertained as a fairy, Magic Mirror.

Johnny, whose real name is Michael Pennington, revealed that he will be donating his fee from the panto to Willowbrook Hospice, where his dad Laurence died on March 10 this year, aged 85.

The 47-year-old comedian and actor thanked the hospice for caring for his dad when he was a guest on ITV’s Loose Women earlier this month.

Johnny, who has graced the nation’s TV screens for more than 15 years as Geoff The Oracle in ITV’s Benidorm will be appearing in the panto via the power of video projection and will not be in the show in person each night.

Lucy-Jo started on the famous cobbles as ‘killer Katy’ before spending five seasons in the hit drama Wild at Heart playing series lead Rosie Trevanion.

She then made her big screen debut in Ken Loach’s acclaimed feature film Looking For Eric and recently played Rhiannon Davis in a long running and dramatic storyline in Doctors for the BBC.

LIPA graduate Jack Rigby plays the prince, Richard Hazlewood returns as Herman the Henchman and Lewis Devine appears as Muddles.

Seven real life dwarfs including mum and son Harry Potter actors Josh Bennet and Sarah Bennet, Danny Blackner who appeared in Star Wars VI - Return of The Jedi, Labyrinth and Muppet Treasure Island; Lucy Blenkiron, Jay Lusted who featured in the BBC One Wales documentary Born Small: The Wedding, Charlote Lyons and Peter Sunter.

Theatre manager Chantelle Nolan said: “2017 is going to be truly magical, we have an amazing cast and lots of surprises up our sleeve!”

An all new magical 3-D interactive scene will see action jump right off the stage and is guaranteed to leave audiences amazed.
