A 20-YEAR-OLD man who admitted to the attempted murder of a woman by stabbing her in a Whiston park has had his sentencing rescheduled until November.
Jamie Cardwell, of Paignton Close, Huyton, pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of a 55-year-old dog walker who was stabbed multiple times in Stadt Moers Park.
On Saturday, June 11, 2016 the woman suffered the wounds after having only just entered the park with her dog.
She managed to stagger out of the park, while covered in blood, where a passer-by spotted her and called emergency services.
Cardwell has been remanded in custody and was expected to be sentenced today (October 20).
His sentencing will now take place on Friday, November 3 at Liverpool Crown Court.
