A MAN accused of stabbing his friend through the heart with a machete has denied murder.
Paul Michael Largan, formerly of Birchfield Street, Thatto Heath is charged with murdering his friend Jason Paul Gregory.
Mr Gregory was found in the street outside Largan’s home in Napier Close, St Helens on Sunday, July 2.
The 46-year-old victim died from a single stab wound with a machete to the chest which penetrated his heart damaging the left ventricle.
Largan, 34, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court today (Friday, October 20). He pleaded not guilty to murder.
Largan was further remanded in custody. The case will next come to court for mention on Friday, December 15.
