Rail services are being affected this morning
RAIL commuters travelling to Liverpool and Manchester are being hit by delays this morning.
A broken down train between Eccles and Newton-le-Willows has led to delays and cancellations of services from St Helens stations.
The train was moved at 8.15am allowing lines to reopen between Oxford Road and Newton-le-Willows but disruption is expected until 10am.
