A 19-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle, drug driving and being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

The teenager was held in connection with the seizure of a motorbike on Coronation Drive in Prescot yesterday, Tuesday, August 22.

Checks revealed the motorbike was stolen from Rainhill earlier this month.

Following a search of a property on Coronation Drive, a quantity of white powder and associated drug paraphernalia was recovered.

Chief Inspector Tami Garvey-Jones said: "These seizures are a great example of the positive action we can and will take when dealing with the issue of illegal and nuisance use of bikes.

"I would encourage people to pass on information which allows us to investigate fully and bring those responsible to justice.

"Our officers will also continue to work proactively to find and disrupt those who use and store illegal and nuisance off-road motorbikes.

"We will continue to act on any information so if you know where these bikes are being stored or who is storing them, call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
