TWO men have been rescued from a kitchen fire by firefighters.
Two engines were called to the property on Elsbeck Grove, Sutton just before 5.20pm on Wednesday, August 16.
One man was given oxygen at the scene and another was led to safety from the property.
A cooker was severely damaged by the blaze and the ground floor of the house suffered smoke damage.
Crews ventilated the property and carried out a Home Fire Safety Check.
They remained at the scene for around 35 minutes.
