IT has been a summer of new arrivals at Knowsley Safari as the park welcomes a raft of bouncing babies.

Ranging from the tiny meerkat, bush dog pups, the boisterous buffalo, blesbok and wildebeest calves, the pitter patter of tiny footsteps is heard loud and clear across the park.

Stuart Robertson, Animal Manager at Knowsley Safari says: “It’s great to see so many of our species breed successfully.

“Many are classed as near-threatened which means that they’re at risk of future habitat loss and dwindling numbers in the wild.”

The meerkat and bush dog pups can be found on the foot safari and the wildebeest, forest buffalo calves, blesbok can be seen grazing alongside the crash of white rhino as well as zebra, ostrich and herds of antelope.

Families can enjoy a full day out for less throughout the summer holidays (until 3rd September 2017) as Knowsley Safari is offering 20% off all online bookings.
