A DOGS charity is ‘rooting’ for homes for pups as Southport Flower Show gets underway.

The seven six-week old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross pups arrived at the Huyton centre just a few days ago and now they have found their paws, they are looking to find homes.

In honour of the show, the team at the rehoming centre have named the three girls Amaryllis, Honeysuckle and Candytuft, and their brothers Hosta, Lupin, Cosmos and Mallow.

Georgina Lowery, Dogs Trust Merseyside Manager, said: “They are absolutely adorable, as are all puppies, and with loving owners they will make a wonderful addition to the family.

"A dog is for life and welcoming a four-legged friend into the home is a huge commitment so we’re looking for dog-lovers who have the time, energy and patience to help these bundles of fun become confident, sociable adult dogs.”

If you think you could offer a pup their ‘fur’ever home, please contact Dogs Trust Merseyside on 0300 303 0292 or visit the centre at Whiston Lane, Huyton, L36 6HP, open every day, except Wednesday, from 12pm-4pm.
