AN array of fun, colourful, wacky - and at times weird - street acts put a smile on people's faces in St Helens town centre on Saturday.
A line-up of top artists and attractions from the world of comedy, music, dance and theatre converged on Church Square and along Church Street for the annual Summer Streets festival.
A large colourful street parade led by the brilliant Brazilian drumming troupe, Katumba were among the highlights on a vibrant day for the town centre, which bustled with activity.
The MAD Stunt Team, who performed stunts and tricks on mountain bikes, drew gasps, giraffe puppets delighted the kids, and an 18 metre long inflatable whale, where animated performances took place inside, were among the highlights.
