SUMMER is finally in town as Peter Pan, Captain Hook and Tinkerbell helped launch this year’s Summer Beach this weekend.

The annual attraction officially launched on Saturday, July 22 offering a beach area for children to play in with their buckets and spades as well as offering fun games and activities.

Disney characters including Moana and Ariel from the Little Mermaid were centre stage at the Church Street site, where visitors could also get glitter tattoos, their face painted or take part in mini interactive shows and games.

It was officially opened by mayor and mayoress Cllr Joe and Sylvia Pearson.
