THREE teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary following a stand-off on the roof of a hairdressers.
Police received a report was received at about 8.30pm that three people were attempting to force entry into Smarty Hair Design on Higher Parr Street, Fingerpost on Saturday evening (July 22).
They were then reported to have climbed on to the roof of the building.
Police and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended, assisted by a National Police Air Service helicopter.
The teenagers came down from the building after about 40 minutes.
Afterwards, police made a number of arrests.
Two 16-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy, all from St Helens, were arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.
They have all been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
