ST HELENS' first comic con proved a resounding success in the town hall on Saturday.
The event saw sci-fi, fantsy and comic book enthusiasts flock to the town hall for a host of themed activities.
Victoria Square was taken over by exhibits with a model of the Dolorean used in Back to the Future and Ghostbusters' Stay Puft Marshmallow Man among them.
And Star contributor Robbob was on hand to get some behind the scenes shots featuring guests, exhibits and some of the best costumes on show.
At the event, brought to St Helens by Wonky Rockets, fans enjoyed a free gaming area, merchandise stalls and the chance to meet and have their photographs taken with the guest stars.
There were also themed panel question and answer sessions with guests from series Game of Thrones, Doctor Who and Star Wars.
Adam Brown and Hannah Spearritt
Special guests included The Hobbit star Adam Brown, S Club 7 and Primeval's Hannah Spearritt, Harry Potter actor Hugh Mitchell, Doctor Who's Terry Molloy, Game of Thrones' White Walker Ross Mullan and Dominic Carter, who played Janos Slynt.
Saints star Kyle Amor in the Delorean from Back to the Future
And to round the day off there was a 'cosplay' competition to celebrate some of the day's best costumes.
