THE death of a man whose body was found at the former Ibstock brickworks last Tuesday was due to natural causes, a post mortem has found.

A heavy police presence was in the area after officers were called to the location on Chester Lane, Sutton Manor at around 1.30pm on Tuesday to reports of a man lying on the floor and possibly not breathing.

Firefighters helped to gain access to the works and paramedics confirmed that the man had died.

A police spokesman confirmed that following the post mortem examination they are treating the death as "non-suspicious".

The post mortem concluded that the man had died from natural causes.
