Man detained under Mental Health Act after police called to incident
A MAN has been detained under the Mental Health Act after police were called to an incident on City Road last night.
Officers attended a property on City Road, Windlehurst at around 11.15pm following reports of concern for the safety of a woman.
Part of the road was closed while police dealt with the incident.
A police spokesman said a man came out of the property and injured his knee and was taken to hospital by an ambulance.
He said: "We were called over concern of the safety of a woman who was at the window of the second floor of a house.
"A man has fallen outside the house and injured his knee and was taken to hospital.
"He received treatment for the knee and has also been detained under the Mental Health Act."
