THE family of a father-of-three who has been missing for two weeks have made an impassioned plea for him to return home.

Trevor Farthing, 52 from Newton-le-Willows, was last seen on Marshalls Cross Road on Wednesday, June 21 at 9.30am.

Police have made several appeals for information since he went missing.

Trevor's partner of 30-years Marie and daughter Gemma Combes spoke to the Star to make an emotional plea for his safe return.

Marie, 52, said: "Trevor, if you're reading this we just want to know you're alright, if you don't want to talk to us just let someone know you're okay.

"He has a history of anxiety and depression and when he got like that he goes on walks, like he did that day.

"But he's never gone missing before.

"He's really friendly and is well known in the rural areas, like he knows all the dog walkers because of his long walks so people should recognise him.

"If anyone has any information please just let us know."

Gemma, 32, added: "It's been really really hard for family and close friends.

"We have been out putting posters up and posting on Facebook all the time because someone somewhere must have seen him."

The investigation team are keen to trace one woman in particular who may have met Trevor three days before he went missing on Sunday, June 18 in the Bradley Road area of Newton-le-Willows, near the Sankey Canal and is believed to have taken him home as she was concerned about him.

Trevor is described as white, 5ft 7in tall, of medium build and with a shaved head and blue eyes.

He has a tattoo of a scorpion on the top of his left arm and a tattoo of a union jack on his right arm.

When he was last seen Trevor was wearing a brown/khaki t-shirt and blue denim jeans.

Trevor is known to regularly visit the canal near the Bradlegh Road area of Newton.
