A TEENAGER who was given the wallet of an army veteran is appealing to get in touch with relatives to return it to.
Alfie Lawton, 14, was given a wallet containing documents and photographs relating to a Sergeant Phillip of the 3rd Battalion, Parachute Regiment, who it is believed served during the 1950s, after a family friend had found it in a skip.
He is now on the lookout for any living relatives to return the items to.
"It was found in a skip around four months ago," said Alfie, from Parr.
"It includes all sorts of documents, photos and there's money in the wallet.
"I believe it belongs to a member of the 3rd battalion, the parachute regiment 23233662 Sgt Phillip Riley who served in the 50s.
"It was found in a skip, my dad's friend saw it and gave it to me."
