A 25-YEAR-OLD woman with terminal cancer says her “dying wish” is to meet Adele after her best friend bought tickets for her to see the star in Wembley.

Hannah Hayes, originally from Eccleston, has had a tough year after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer which was discovered after an operation to tackle fluid on the brain ended badly.

After suffering severe headaches, she went to and from A&E, doctors and hospitals for months, only to find out that she had a condition that was causing fluid on her brain; however the operation went wrong causing an air bubble and bleed on the brain, leaving her with limited speech, no mobility and short-term memory problems.

Further tests then uncovered that the support worker has Anaplastic astrocytoma, a rare brain tumour that makes the cells in her brain and her spinal cord cancerous – and in Hannah’s case, it is terminal.

Hannah, who is a huge fan of Adele but is still in hospital, was due to get married to her partner Ash in Cyprus in July - but because of her condition this is no longer an option.

So, her best friend Carly Quinn hatched a plan to get Hannah to see her idol instead to mark her 26th, and possibly last, birthday on Wednesday, June 28.

She said: “After everything that happened I wanted to get Hannah to go and see Adele for her birthday so tried to book tickets for her to go and see her in Wembley with Ash.

“I got tickets for my birthday and tried to get them swapped to wheelchair accessible ones, however after Wembley helped me I was able to buy some for her so we are all going, and she is so excited.

“Because of her memory problems we have to keep telling her and each time she just gets so excited.

“Now what we want is to get Adele to come and meet her and make her dreams come true.”

Hannah’s partner, Ash Hayes, said: “We know how serious her condition is but I asked her, ‘Han, if this sets you back a few months would you care?’ and she said, ‘no it’s my dying wish’.

“How can anyone argue with that? Now my hope is that Adele comes to see her because it will just make her birthday so special for her.

“She is such a lovely person she truly deserves this little bit of happiness after everything she has been through.”
