Man charged in connection with dumper truck theft from building site
A ST HELENS man has been charged with the theft of a one-tonne dumper truck from a building site.
The vehicle was stolen overnight from the Bovis building site on Beehive Lane, Moulton, near Northwich in Cheshire on Thursday, June 15.
On Saturday, June 17 a Ford Transit van was stopped on the M56 by police officers. Following a search inside the truck, officers found the stolen dumper truck.
A 52-year-old-man from St Helens was arrested and later charged in connection with the theft and remanded in custody.
