SINGING starlet Kiera Weathers says she feels “honoured” to lend her vocals to the new single from hit Swedish DJ MARC for his song Hurts So Good.

This is the second release for the 20-year-old, from Clock Face, who gained fame while starring in The X Factor in 2015.

Her debut single You Gotta Be, a modern cover of Des’ree’s 1994 classic hit, is currently on three million Spotify streams and counting following its release in March.

The new dance track with MARC, featuring her stunning vocals, has received rave reviews so far.

Speaking to the Star, Kiera said: “It was so fun to be able to collaborate with MARC, I went over to Sweden for three days after lots of back and forth and he decided he liked my vocals for this track.

“I felt so honoured that he trusted me with something he built from the ground up and it was amazing to work with him. He’s a great guy.

“He’s a huge talent, his last single went gold so it’s been incredible and the support I’ve been shown from my fans just leaves me speechless.

“I loved Sweden and I got to stay near the harbour and everything. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the food, I was craving a Maccies.”

Kiera is signed to Artists To Watch Records, a sister label of Warner Music UK, who produced her popular single You Gotta Be.

She added: “I am so proud of how the song is doing.

“I try not to watch the numbers but it’s an amazing achievement to do so well when I knew doing a re-recording of a famous track was a risk.

“My next single, hopefully coming out in August, will be an original which I am so excited for, then I will be writing songs for my first EP.

“It’s amazing, I’m so grateful.”

Both singles are available on iTunes, Spotify and available to view on Youtube.

The former Sutton Academy pupil also hosts Kiera's Cabin each month at Clock Face Labour Club, check her Facebook page for more details.
