CULT group The Bordellos have released a new album which is available on CD and to download.

St Helens band The Bordellos - who formed in 2004 - comprise Brian and Ant Shea, along with Brian's son Dan.

The album, called 'Life, Love and Billy Fury' was released on June 16 on the Welsh underground label Recordiau Prin, started by Ash Cooke, one-time member of the welsh band Derrero.

The album is a follow-up to last year's 'How to Lose Friends and Influence No-one'.

On behalf of the band, Brian Shea said: "That album was a huge critical success and made lots of best album end-of-year lists - even being named as the second best indie release of 2016 in American music magazine Goldmine."

He added: "We have been going now for nearly 15 years and have become a bit of a cult band in our own quiet little lo-fi way

and over the years we have turned down things most bands would have sold their granny to be offered, like US tours, supporting Brian Jonestown Massacre and Jane's Addiction - even a deal with a large American indie label.

"We like to operate on the outskirts of the music industry and keep ourselves to ourselves."
