TWO community family fun events are coming to town next month including a tug of war and a hog roast.
The first event, a free Gala Day, will be held on Saturday, July 1 from 2pm to 4.30pm on the field behind Crank Nursery.
It will include a tug of war between local pub teams, entertainment from children’s entertainer Terry de Maxim as well as Rainford Silver Band.
Vintage and modern tractors and classic motorbikes as well as an inflatable obstacle course and slide, bric-a-brac, bottle tombola, a variety of stalls and refreshments will also be available.
The second event, on Saturday, July 15, is a Hoedown and Hog Roast at Rainford Village Hall from 7pm till late.
Entertainment includes a licensed bar and band.

Both events have been organised by the Crank Village Community Association.
