A WOMAN was arrested from a property in Prescot Road on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Police officers executed a warrant at the address yesterday (Monday, May 22) and recovered a "substantial amount of white powder".
The powder has been removed for forensic testing but it is believed to be Class A drugs.
A 22 year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. After being interviewed, she was released pending a disposal decision.
Officers are urging anyone with information about drugs activity in their area to get in touch.
A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said: "Officers will listen to all information received and action can be taken to remove the blight of drugs from our communities."
