THE Conservatives have chosen their candidates to fight in the borough’s constituencies in June’s general election.
Jackson Ng will contest St Helens North while Ed McRandal will be the St Helens South and Whiston candidate.
Mr Ng, 34, read law at the London School of Economics and worked in the City before he qualified as a solicitor.
He has also been a political advisor in the House of Lords before re-qualifying and working as a barrister.
St Helens South and Whiston candidate Ed McRandal, 31, has worked as a senior policy and PR advisor.
Both candidates, who contested seats in Liverpool constituencies during the 2015 general election, say their priorities include “delivering a Brexit that works for local people” and fighting plans to build on the green belt.
Mr McRandal also listed regenerating St Helens’ town centre as one of the key focuses of his campaign.
