COMMUTERS are being warned of delays getting to work tomorrow after Northern Rail bosses confirm only 40 per cent of its trains services will operate due to industrial action.

The 24-hour strike, which is expected to cause significant disruption, will still see the majority of services running between 7am and 7pm, though many routes will start to wind down from late afternoon.

Those that do run are expected to be very busy, so residents are advised to plan carefully and consider other modes of transportation.

More than 300 replacement buses will be used and people needing live journey updates can get them by visiting journey check on the Northern Rail website or by tweeting @northernassist.
