A 21-YEAR-OLD man who was arrested on suspicion of assault as part of the investigation into Sunday's stabbings in St Helens town centre has been bailed.
A police spokesman confirmed the 21-year-old man, from Huyton, who was arrested on suspicion of assault has been conditionally bailed pending further enquiries.
An 18-year-old man from Kensington who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been bailed pending further enquiries.
A 17-year-old from Rainhill, who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, has been conditionally bailed pending further enquiries.
The incident happened at land off the rear of the Phoenix pub, off Canal Street.
Police confirmed that 20-year-old Ryan Lamb passed away in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The investigation is now a murder inquiry.
