SAINTS will be without Alex Walmsley and Mark Percival for the big derby clash at Warrington a week on Friday after both were called up to the England squad.

Wayne Bennett gives Walmsley his first chance of pulling on the white jersey against Samoa on May 6 after being on the fringes of the international side for a couple of years.

Both will be sorely missed as they seek to string some wins together following last week’s disappointing loss at Widnes.

Interim coach Sean Long said: “We have Big Al and Percy in that England squad and are going to miss them, because they are obviously international players.

“But we have a big enough squad to cover for them.

“Jonny Lomax will be back for that game and maybe Robes, so fingers crossed.

Both Tommy Makinson and Ryan Morgan are fit for this weekend’s game, as is Luke Douglas.

“Warrington will be without Chris Hill, who will be a big loss for them, so it is tit-for-tat for Big Al really,” Long said.

With Saints and Warrington currently on the same nine points and positioned 8th and 9th, the clash is an unexpected top eight four-pointer.
