STUDENTS from University Centre St Helens will join professional actors to perform The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists based on the novel by Robert Tressell.

First published in 1914, the Ragged Trousered Philanthropists tells the story of a group of working men who are joined one day by Frank Owen, a journeyman-prophet with a vision of a just society.

After the show’s successful sell-out in November 2015 at St Helens Central Library, the play returns to University Centre St Helens’ town centre campus theatre for one night. It takes place on Thursday, April 27, costing £10 via wegottickets.com/Costal.
