A WOMAN in her 20s has been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a tree this morning.
The incident happened in Jubits Lane at around 10.35am.
Two fire engines, a search and rescue vehicle and an ambulance were sent to the scene.
A spokeswoman for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters were on the scene for around an hour after "a car hit a tree".
A North West Ambulance spokeswoman said: "We were called at 10.39am. A car had collided with a tree.
"A female in her 20s has been taken to Whiston Hospital."
She added it was not known whether the woman's injuries were serious.
