Reopening of Scafell Road delayed
THE reopening of Scafell Road has been delayed until Tuesday (April 4), due to the extent of the damage caused to the highway by a burst water pipe earlier this month.
Repairs by United Utilities will now continue over the weekend and into the Easter school holiday. The road was expected to reopen on Saturday (April 1) after a four-week closure.
