A 27-YEAR-OLD man has been charged in connection with the 'hit-and-run' in which four-year-old Violet-Grace Youens died.
Violet Grace Youens died at 11.38pm on Saturday after both she and her gran Angela French, 55 were hit as they crossed Prescot Road near Laurel Villa Dental Practice.
Her gran is still in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Dean Ian Brennan, 27, from Prescot, has been charged with assisting an offender, theft of a motor vehicle and the aggravating offence of allowing oneself to be carried within a stolen vehicle.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Liverpool magistrates court today (Wednesday, March 29).
A 23-year-old man from Prescot was arrested on suspicion of being carried on a stolen vehicle and has been released pending further enquiries.
Another 23-year-old is believed to have fled the country following the incident.
